Digital tech to control personal resource use

In these systems the digital technology captures and gathers information about the resources controlled by an individual consumer, their behaviour and their environment. This information is then used to support, inform and influence them to use resources more efficiently, preventing waste, saving costs and reducing environmental impact. They take a journey to develop more resource efficient habits, and sometimes also a greater understanding and valuing of sustainability. Artificial intelligence is increasingly used to make the user experience more persuasive by learning from the preferences of the person and of everyone else.
